Nutrition and Healthy Cooking Education

Our goal is to increase regional educational opportunities related to cooking and healthy eating.


Our work:

  • Read our newest newsletter here. Here's the link for our last newsletter that came out in July.

  • Finished action plan with action steps and reviewed Equity guidelines

  • Identifying existing organizational models that provide healthy cooking and nutrition education and budget needs to support food purchasing 

  • Connecting with higher education programs to support our group with interns through data collection and identify existing healthy cooking programs

  • Exploring funding opportunities to support the cost of food for classes as many of the programs cannot rely on grant funding;

  • Discussing potential for connections between local farmers and food suppliers to meet this need.

  • Growing representation and participants in all counties of WNC.
